Italian spirit
As soon as you enter this old room you are transported to another world. Itโs a beautiful historic Estonian interior, carefully renovated and lovingly looked after. But this house nowadays also has a second spirit: decorated from floor to ceiling with Italian wine bottles, and ingredients and products with packaging and labels that make sure that you donโt have to deliberate over where they are from. The three colours that clearly signal Italy are everywhere to be found, almost as if La Bottega is somehow an Italian food embassy.
Rustic wooden tables and chairs, open and warm service, simplicity and quality are ever-present here. Perfectionist pizzas and squid ink pastas, carpaccios and burratas, cannoli and tiramisu permeate the menu. All cooked with delicacy in mind, light-handed and light-hearted, from the best ingredients that Italy has to offer. San Marzano tomatoes from Campania are famous all over Italy, if not the entire world, for their sweetness and lasting aftertaste, and not always easy to find in fact, but La Bottega use them for all their pizzas and tomato sauces. All from the legendary producer Gerardo di Nola outside Napoli. It is sometimes said that Italian cooking is all about humble ingredients of the highest quality, and if this is the case, then La Bottega has mastered the art of Italian cooking. Served with pride, served with knowledge, and huge smiles!
